O rgyan (Tawang) manuscript Kanjur


Description:

Two Kanjurs are kept in Tawang (rTa dbang), India. these Kanjurs come from the family temple of the 6th Dalai Lama in O rgyan gling in the Mon region in Western tibet. The Kanjurs were brought to Tawang when O rgyan gling was destroyed.
From the original Kanjur, 86 volumes are kept. the second Kanjur is a copy of the first one and is complete.
