Peking 1692 printed Kanjur

Description:

The printed edition of the Kanjur prepared in Peking between 1684 and 1692 under the reign of the emperor Kang xi (康熙 1661-1722) is an adaptation of the Yongle Kanjur. New xylographical plates were prepared for this edition. It contains 105+1 volumes plus one index (dkar chag). There were several editions made with these new plates, each of them providing some emendations probably based on the 'Jang sa tham edition. The reproductions were made in 1700 and 1717-1720.
