Notes
this is an initiation ritual. a lineage is given on fols. 26-27, ending in the author. there are illustrations on pp. 507-509. the text from pp. 510 through 512 has the following title (difficult to read): drag po rdzob lags len ma rigs mun sel yid kyis 'dod 'jo. the author is undoubtedly the prolific writer who founded sman-ri monastery, whose dates are 1356-1415. he often has the epithet gshen-gyi drang-srong, which tells us he was a monk from the gshen family.
